Fishing Report: In the last couple of weeks fishing in south Mississippi, especially in the Back Bay of Biloxi and in the Mississippi Sound has been great. In the bay, catches of sheepshead and black drum (2 in the 50-pound class) has been steady. However, most fishing depends on the weather, and cold fronts set things back at times.
In the Mississippi Sound, a bite of southern kingfish a.k.a. "ground mullet" and sand sea trout a.k.a. "white trout" has been phenominal. In the last two trips, catches of 90 and 185 were recorded, and a big bull redfish to boot. On each trip we left them biting!
From here on out the inshore bite will get hotter and hotter, and we'll continue to catch many of the bottom dwelling ground mullet and white trout as they migrate into the shallows. Hey, it going to get better as the weather start to warm, so come fish with us down here in south Mississippi.
By the way, a friend just added a new 2170 Blazer Bay Bay Boat to the TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS fleet, and hope to have many new fishing adventure with the new purchase. What are you waiting for? Let's fish!
